Gaudeamus wom pom, philanthropic fruit.

Here’s last night’s (2013-08-30) Memo Of the Air show on KNYO-LP, ready to listen to right away and/or download and keep for free.

Errata mundata: I spelled Liz Phair aloud P-H-I-R and didn’t even notice. Sorry about that, Liz Phair. Also I attributed Crossfire to CNN, which was not right, though I was right about the ridiculous Newt Gingrich part of Crossfire, as well as about the ridiculous Newt Gingrich. And also I was right about the problem in the article about entropy; the writer was in fact mistaken at one point, or there was a typo, or, you know, really, who cares, at this point? Notice how I have absorbed by osmosis the modern way of publicly apologizing, which is not any kind of apology at all but rather arrogant little paean to oneself.

And here are some things to look at and/or listen to and/or think about, that I found mostly thanks to the fine websites to your right:

The Lion King in real life.

The Frequently-Made Comparisons monster.

Properly colorized historical photographs.

Long-exposure Ferris wheels.

A familiar image. I think I might know this woman.

Big beautiful bees. Dead and somewhat disheveled, yeah, but quite attractive. Plump. Furry.

Bountiful bats. Imagine what this sounds like to them, with all their ten million echo-location subsystems blasting at full volume.

Colorized electron microscopy: samurai flea.

So, plenty of money for rooting around in the data history of (and looking up the collective skirts of) free citizens, then. It would be a hundred times cheaper and more to the point just to pay a small fortune to everyone they admit to spying on and make harmless lapdogs of them. Or a hundred percent cheaper to just not empower spy agencies in the first place.

The most important news of the day.,33632/

Miley Cyrus’ tongue.
