Back in Nagasaki. Fellas. Tobaccy. Women. Wickee wackee woo.

“And I wish I would remember what my brother said, but I can’t, but I think we just said, It worked. I think that’s what we said, both of us. It worked.” –Oppenheimer

Here’s the recording of last night’s (2019-08-09) KNYO and KMEC Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio show ready to re-enjoy. (Left-click for instant-play. Right-click to download.) And thanks to Hank Sims of Lost Coast Outpost here’s a page with the latest show and also other ones going back about a couple of years. And you can go to Links To Recorded Audio, see above, and hear older shows yet.

Max the Piano Player came and inaugurated the Jack Leung piano on the air. First half an hour of the show, no waiting. Andrew Scully, etc. Alex called and the phone thing wasn’t working right, and mixing board settings didn’t help, and I didn’t want to start messing with the screw adjusts inside the phone thing, so there’s about forty minutes of nearly unlistenable crackly distorted conversation, dang it. I’ll let Jerry know and we’ll get it right for the next person who wants to use it.

Besides all that, here are links to further worthwhile educational and/or sensational items that I set aside for you while gathering the show together, found mostly thanks to the fine websites listed to your right:

Ride. Dubi dubi dum.

Rerun: Osteria ai Pioppi.

The centrifuge brain project.

“For example. This is from a movie where a man gets reincarnated as a fly after a gangster kills him, and then he, as a fly, takes down the entire mob.”

Take Back America, with Darlene McBride.

The stained club.

As Katherine put it, “That photo never gave Mother or any of us kids any relief.”

Beautiful time-lapse storms. They save the twisters for the end. Interesting music, too.

From the point of view of a stick in a zooming little dog’s mouth.

This is how people move, to flies. It’s why it’s so hard to catch a fly in your hand. Flies’ brains are way simpler than human brains, but their clock speed is faster.

Feed me.

Toilets of the damned. Just one damned toilet after another.

“The mystery of my grandmother becomes deeper and deeper.”

Harmonica MIDI controller.

Handmade squeezebulb puff-bottle organ.

The fabulous world of Jules Verne. (Whole film. 78 min.)

(404) 967-3808.

1900 Big Boot dance.

M. Piedlourde. (Mister Heavyfoot.)

Eshan Denipitiya – Rhapsody of Queen.

No way to prevent this, says only nation where this regularly happens. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Those assholes. They killed Kenny.

It’s right over here, honey. C’mon, lemme show you.×1500+0+50/resize/2000×1250!/quality/90/

They all look like a photo I saw once of an Afghan hound shaking off in front of a powerful fan.

What do you get for the person who has everything?

With a hundred and ten cornets close at hand.

No fair!

Buzz Aldrin tells the story of the first moon landing. He was right there.

A brief compendium of medical quackery.

Breathe. Remember to breathe. Or your head might explode.

Curses! Foiled again.

When you find yourself in a deep steep hole, stop digging and start running.

Carnival Row trailer.

The nose is a whole face just by itself.

They’re right. It looks like the little fire demon in /Howl’s Moving Castle/, or as RedHandFilms put it: “Calcifer’s water cousin, Aquifer.”

Killing fish with high voltage.

Bitchy resting face.

Day of the juggaloes. But what if a juggalo was a gerontological gigolo junkie? And what if he jogged along with George, the gigantic jonquil.

Ice cream robot oops.

The island of wet mascara.

And Fur Elise arranged for piano and rubber chicken.
